Description of the theft
When they couldn’t drill through the locking mechanism on the bike lock, they went onto trying to cut through the chains, which they failed to do. So, they decided to saw into the back of the bikes frame (from where it was locked and attached to a steel post). I found chipped pieces of paint that matches the color scheme of my bike, laying next to the bike lock… the bike also had a small front frame saddle bag that contained some minor bike tools for simple road repairs. Thankfully, I had the battery packs as well as the keys to the battery packs at a separate location, so the bike can only be used under human mechanical power when stolen. If you see this bike around, it’ll be missing both battery packs! The electrical connections aren’t waterproof, so they can and will rust if not properly protected!
