Description of the theft
I chained my bike to a bike rack outside the Dupont Circle metro station in DC. I was in a hurry and used the cable portion to wrap around my bike and locked the cable with a U-lock. Model here: https://www.rei.com/product/881706/blackburn-u-lock-cable-combo-lock
I left it there between 10:00AM and 4:00PM. It was a day with many special events so there were hundreds of extra people passing this location outside the metro entrance. When I returned the cable was cut and the bike was gone.
