Bicycle detail

When this happened the security guard was not monitoring the security cameras at the front desk of the building and had left his post for some reason.

When you watch the security footage, the criminal is seen entering the loading dock wearing very baggy clothes and mulling around the computer recycle bins waiting for Amazon employees to finish entering the building through a secure door next to where my bike was locked up.

Then when the coast is clear he pulls out a bolt cutter and breaks through the lock and rides away.

What is ironic is that there is an employee seen leaving the security door at the exact same time who sees the criminal in action, even turns his head when the lock is being cut, but continues on his way out of the building...doesn't go back in to report suspicious behavior.

The security guard had several interesting things to say. He mentioned had he been at the monitors and had seen the suspicious activity at the recycle bins he would have rushed out there to stop that activity all by itself.

When the Seattle Police showed up 1.5 hours later after the crime was reported, he stated to the officer that he recognized this criminal from a previous attempted bike theft.

I overheard the security guard mention on the phone that he has to file a report about the theft and also about why he wasn't at his post apparently.
