Description of the theft
Was in underground parking garage in stall 37. Lock was not engaged at the time (my bad). Last seen in front of my car when I pulled out to go to work. Came back around 8:10pm the same day and noticed it gone.
Gray helmet was included in the theft.
Security cameras were available, but apartment management refused to turn over footage to myself. Would only turn over to police with a warrant. Police requested that I ask management to verify that the crime was caught on camera before they filed a warrant. After about two weeks of back and forth, was sent an e-mail saying that no theft was captured on camera between the time it was last noticed and when it was discovered stolen, or any surrounding time. (Despite a camera being in clear view of the entire stall…)
