Description of the theft
Bike was taken from outside of Melba's, the guy (who turns out is a known bike thief) had blisters on his feet and begged to borrow the bike for 10 or 15 minutes to run to Franklin Ave. I waited at Melba's with his bookbag he asked me to watch for an hour and a half and he never returned. Upon finding him a couple days later he stated he hid it in a backyard on St. Claude because he was getting hassled for stealing the bike by someone. I have checked the house to no avail and now he is not offering any help. I realize he fooled me and I made a dumb judgement, but I would really like my bike back.
