U-Lock was locked to second bike and 6 foot cable looped through frames of both bikes and large picnic table. Cable was cut and two bikes were lifted or carried away together as far as it seems.

Over labor day weekend we were camping at Mission Bay RV Park at 2727 De Anza Road in site number E04 in a 45ft motorcoach. Two mountain bikes were locked together with a U-Lock and then cable locked outside our coach to a large, heavy picnic table's metal legs. Around 11:30pm Sunday evening 9/3/23 I heard a loud crash like someone hit a vehicle out behind our coach. I didn't get up to look, as I thought it was neighbor's as there were LOTS of people camping all around us. Bikes look to have been carried together as they were locked together and thieves must have cut the cable and then carried bikes and dropped into back of vehicle. That was probably the loud noise I heard. Had I got out of bed and went outside I may have caught or seen them. There is a small single lane access road right behind our motorcoach, likely the thieves drove their vehicle onto that road to load bike into. Don't see that the bikes could have been taken without a vehicle, as the RV park was loaded with people and even at 11:30 in the evening, someone would notice them carrying two bikes down the road. When waking in the morning around 8:30am and going outside is when it was noticed the bikes were gone. We files a report with security at Mission Bay RV park and also saw a SD Police truck monitoring the Mission bay area and spoke to him. His name was Officer Sanchez . He of course referenced to the numerous bikes that are stolen and was best we file a police report. Also, bikes were covered and we feel someone noticed us riding them and took note of the type of bikes and value, scouted out where we were located and knew what they were stealing .
