Description of the theft
The bike was advertised on facebook marketplace by that evening and had been sold by the following lunchtime.
The seller was arrested by Kingston Police by Monday and another bike stolen at the same time was recovered from a bicycle hanger lockup in the street. The facebook user had identified his area as Richmond upon Thames.
The buyer has not been identified but may also be in the Richmond/Kingston upon Thames area.
Distinctive features are:
turquoise bottle holder.
The supplied front gear shifter on the left side of the handlebar has been replaced with a SHIMANO MTB THUMB TOP SHIFTER SL-TY22 INDEX LEFT HAND 3 SPEED.
The rear mudguard is cable tied to the pannier rack.
Pannier rack is a Topeak Super Tourist Cycling Rack.
Schwalbe Marathon Racer tyres.
Giant memory foam saddle.
Brand new freewheel sprockets 11-34T. Distinctive because it has a large spacer between the large sprocket and the chain guard on the wheel side.
New Sunrace chain, identifiable as one extra link beside the snap link is a CN-HG40 with HG engraved in the middle, which doesn't match the rest.
Shower curtain ring attached to the rack for clipping a back light onto.
Black push in torch headlight mount on right side of handlebar.
