Description of the theft
My bike was stolen from the garage in our apartment building. One side of the garage is fenced. The garage has additional
area which is secured with a fence from floor to ceiling and is used as a bike storage. There was only one item in store - my
bike. Although a thief could climb into a garage in the area where it is fenced, but they would not be able to do the same for
bike storage area. It was either someone from the inside, like a maintenance person who has the key for it, or a thief had to
have a key, or fabricate a key on spot, to open the lock to bike storage area. (See attached pictures). If one was able to
fabricate the key to open storage area, he/she was not able to use the same technic for U-Lock, which was cut with some
mechanical tool.
