The bicycle was stolen between 5:00pm ET and 5:30pm ET. An eyewitness described the alleged thief as a white male in his mid-to-late 40s who was wearing a black sweatshirt and blue shorts at the time of the incident. The eyewitness reported that the alleged thief mounted the bike at the intersection of 19th and M Streets NW (Washington DC) and rode it Northbound on 19th Street NW toward Dupont Circle park.
