Description of the theft
After a ride around the neighborhood on July 4, I left my bike in the storage chamber within the secure parking garage at our condo complex, with the front wheel locked with cable bike lock. When I next checked 1.5 days later, the bike was gone. Immediately, I reported this to our HOA and police.
Only residents of this condo complex should have access to the garage with a key fob to open the sliding garage door or a key to open the stairwell doors. However, I found one door that had cardboard wadded up within the strike plate that would let somebody enter the garage just by pushing the door without the keys. This seemed very malicious, and I have also reported this to the HOA.
