My Liv Rove 4 Disc 2020 bicycle which I bought new in April 2020 from the Centripedal bike store in Fremont was locked in the bike cage in the parking garage of the 1560 Southwest Expwy apartment building where I live. The bike cage has a locked door and residents have the key to get in, but the design of the cage makes it very easy for someone without a key to
open the door, the inside door handle is accessible from the outside and someone can easily use a metal rod that can go through the cage holes to push the door handle down. My bike was secured to the bike rack inside the bike cage with a ulock through the front wheel and frame to the side of the rack. I first stored it in the bike cage on December 20, 2020. The last time
I saw my bike in the cage was on Sunday evening on January 31, 2021. On the night of February 3, 2021, I went into the garage and noticed it was gone from the cage, and part of the ulock was on the ground where my bike had been locked in the cage. It looked like someone had cut through the ulock to steal my bike.
