I went to meet my friend David at a restaurant called , Baraka Pita Bakery, there where no bike racks so I locked me bike on the side of the building witch is on the property of Pet's Place 1777 Main St. My bike was locked to a heavy duty metal post with a metal sign that says Pet"s place parking, it was 1:45pm in the after noon.
Dave and I started to eat, about 20 minutes into my meal this person rushed in, he was 5'10 slender build wearing a dark blue jacket that had the name Subaru on both arms and upper chest of his jacket, he also was wearing a white baseball cap and beige pants and he was Caucasian around 27 years old. So this guy goes up to the server and asked some kind of a question, then turned around looked at me, then left through the front door and went around the corner , I thought it was nothing and started to eat when this guy appeared in front of the restaurant, he was passing back and forth, then he looked at me and went around the corner. My friend Dave said you better check your bike, so I went outside next to the building and my bike was ok , I took the seat off because the seats worth $150.00 , this guy was nowhere to be seen, so I went back in to the restaurant to continue eating, 20 minutes later the same guy is out front going back and forth , he looks at me again, then goes around the corner, I leave to see if my bikes ok, and it is, and that guy is no where around, so I thought this guys watching me, so I went back in to resume eating, 10 minutes later, this guy makes his appearance in front of the store , then he goes to the side of the building, so I rush outside to my bike and its gone, this guy cut the bolts off the sign in broad daylight, cars where coming in and out of the parking lot, he lifted the bike over the metal sign poles and left, but everything was captured on Pet's Place surveillance camera.I have the digital negatives , me and Dave went inside Pet"s Place restaurant to report the indecent to police and to view the footage, we walked to Hartford Ave. off Main St. just a couple of blocks down where the Hartford Police station is and made a full report about the indecent, my Bike is registered with Cannondale . and I posted my bike to Facebook, and with the Wrench and Bike Dump of Winnipeg, I also made posters and put them everywhere, this bike was given to me from my father, he passed away, it has sentimental Value to me.
