Description of the theft
My bike was stolen off the back off my truck rack while parked on the street. The hitch rack had a cable lock and the bike frame was locked to the truck. The thieves cut the lock cable and stole the bike sometime between 8:00 and 10:30 pm. The truck was parked on the curb on Anacapa in front of the Court House between E Anapamu and E Figueroa. I was eating dinner on state street with friends and when I returned to the truck the lock had been cut and the bike was gone. This was a very expensive top of the line mountain bike. It has an Orange Fox rear shock coil on it . On the coil in black writing there is a "700 lbs" designation for the coil weight. This is very unusual as this is a very heavy (stiff) coil type and I doubt there are other black Specialized Stumpjumpers out there with an Orange Fox coil that is rated for 700 lbs. Other than that modification to the bike, it is stock except that is has a Maxxis Minion DHF rear tire on it. Also, there are personal items in a hidden compartment under the water bottle cage that I can identify (a hand pump, extra tube, Lezyne tire patch kit, two black tire irons, and zip lock bag with tissue in it).
