Bicycle detail

I was with a friend. A man, around 30 or 40 years old, started talking to us, pretending to be a recruiter from UNMSM (National University of San Marcos) looking for talented athletes. To get to the point, we were riding around a park to measure our speed, me on my bike and my friend on his. I would hand my things to my friend when he left, and he would do the same for me. The man told me that my friend had been saying my bike was bigger and therefore easier to ride, so I left on my friend's bike, and he stayed with the man, our backpacks with cell phones, and my blue 29-inch Veloz bike (it also has the Venzo brand, but it's much smaller). The man played on my friend's naiveté and told him to run to measure his speed, leaving him with the backpacks and my bike. Then he took advantage of the moment, and I still hadn't arrived.

Estaba con un amigo. Un hombre, de unos 30 o 40 años, empezó a hablarnos, fingiendo ser un reclutador de la UNMSM (Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos) que buscaba atletas talentosos. Para ir al grano, estábamos dando una vuelta por un parque para medir nuestra velocidad, yo en mi bicicleta y mi amigo en la suya.
