Description of the theft
Between the hours of 10pm on Thursday, April 1, 2021 and 5am on Friday April 2, 2021 our locked up and stored bikes were stolen from our apartment building entry way. The bikes had been stored just behind the ground floor stairwell in our building. Our property management company asked us to store our 2 bikes under the ground floor stairwell, since our lease says we can’t store them on our balcony. They were there last night when we got home around 8:30pm and didn’t hear any noises that would indicate someone cutting a bike lock and taking the bikes. This morning at 5am when my partner left for work he noticed that they were gone and the bike lock was laying on the ground in three pieces.
