Description of the theft
I locked my bike to the Portland State Office Building garage bike rack near the
pedestrian gate Wednesday morning 3/21 at 8am using a cable lock (not the
recommended U-lock) through the front tire, frame, and wall mount. The bike
was missing when I went to retrieve it Friday evening 3/23 at 5pm. I verified with
building security that no bikes had been impounded and that the security
cameras do not cover the affected area of the garage. The garage is badge-access
only from the street and garage door, but is publicly accessible via the lobby
elevators . I reported the incident to the building's safety coordinator, who notified a Go Lloyd representative.
