Description of the theft
Bike was stolen off of the rack on the front of a Muni bus on the 49 line while the bus was pulled over at a bus stop. Bus was traveling South on Van Ness and was pulled over at the Post Street stop. Theft took place at ~9:40 pm on 9/11/2014.
Thief removed bike from rack and then got on it and rode south down Van Ness. I got off the bus immediately and screamed at the thief to get off the bike, but he got away. Thief looked to be male and wearing dark clothes. Medium height.
