Description of the theft
I typically lock my bike with a cable and U-Lock. This morning at 8:30 as I was locking my bike before work, a woman came up to me and asked for directions to another building on campus. I gave her directions then returned to my bike, picked up my bag and went in to work. I got distracted and didn't realize I had attached the cable, but not the U-Lock until 5 p.m. when I returned to the bike rack, saw that my bike was missing, and then checked my backpack and saw the U-Lock still there.
