Was locked through the Brooks Saddle springs that had an extended seat post into the downtube about 8". As anyone who works with bikes, to remove the seat post even with the seat attached takes patience, strength and thus time. I returned after work to see just the saddle and post hanging from the wrought iron porch fence. The attached photo of the bike shows the locked bike in its early days of being locked outdoors for always only a short time. The photo shows the lock only through the Wald basket NOT as it had been locked through the Brook's seat. The seat in the photo is covered by a white shower cap to protect the leather of the saddle. You can see one of the two seat springs. It's a photo taken within the year I bought the house on Rendon St. The thief took some effort to remove +50lb bike frame from the seat post!!!
