Description of the theft
The bike was locked with a U-Lock directly in front of the AMC Van Ness movie theater. It was locked around a pole, with the lock through the front tire, the frame, and the pole. It looks like the lock was broken open with a jack. The metal was snapped where the ends of the U plug into the lock mechanism.
