Description of the theft
The bike was locked to a bike rack inside the parking garage at 885 Franklin St. The parking garage requires a building key or a pass code to access, which means that the thief/thieves entered the building illegally. A security camera exists near the bike rack, but it is pointed at one of two garage doors and its field of view does not include the bike rack. The building manager scrubbed through the video of that one camera for the period indicated, but found no image of a gray bike being taken. Other cameras exist at other entrances/exits to the building, which could also have recorded the theft, but to my the building manager doesn't want to help any more.
