Description of the theft
I am writing to report that my bike was stolen today (7/18) in Parkland. I had locked it to a bike rack using a cable lock and someone last reported seeing it there at 3 pm today. When I left work at 4:30, it was gone.The bike is a blue 700cc trek hybrid with green handlebars, street tires (700 x 32c), a broken right handlebar shifter, and black pedals.I've reported the theft to my employer and to the Pierce County Sheriff. Unfortunately, I don't have the VIN because I didn't know that bikes had a VIN like cars and trucks do. Now I know.
