Metallic gray 1990s steel small/medium frame and forks - thin tubes and welds. Says "Specialized", "Hardrock", "Made in Taiwan" and "Designed in USA".
Black alloy seatpost 400 mm long, black "Carrera" saddle with a little tear in the back non-drive side on the corner.
Silver colour alloy Shimano cantilever brakes. Simple Shimano silver colour alloy brake levers on black bases.
Black steel quill stem with brake line coming through it straight to front cantilever brake, straight black steel handlebars, 3x6 speed Gripshift grips+shifters.
12 GEARS now:
Black long (about 180mm) alloy "Sugino" crankset with 2 chainrings and a chainguard where 3rd gear would go, on 4 spider arms, fixed to a short square-taper axle with Allen bolts. Pedals are black on the inside with silver outside for grip, asymmetrical shape.
Front derailleur silver Shimano Deore DX with adjustable steel seat-tube clamp.
6 speed freewheel in the back and cheap generic silver Shimano medium-cage derailleur on a short hanger.
Generic alloy wheels, 26" with Schwalbe Sillentio II tyres (with reflective sidewall).
All bearings are adjustable cup and cone throughout, bottom bracket lockring has 4 radial slots and non-drive side cup has 6 pin holes for the tools.
Bike shape was kept clean of mudguards, racks, reflectors or non-moving chainguard.
