Description of the theft
The thief gained access to our building's gated garage in the early hours of the morning. (We assume he snuck in behind a tenant's car as they pulled into the garage.) The thief dismantled a child's scooter and used it to forcibly break our bike lock. Both of our bikes were unlocked, but the thief was only able to get away with the Diamondback before a neighbor spotted him and he fled the scene.
