Description of the theft
On Thursday, January 26, 2023, my bike was stolen. I biked to the UCLA Kinross Recreation Center to work out and locked my bike on the provided bike rack at around 6:45pm. I also left my helmet on the bike. When I came out of the gym at around 7:40pm the bike, helmet, and lock was gone. I was with my partner and we both smelled something burnt right where my bike was (someone likely sawing the u-lock). I called the UCLA Police Department immediately and filed a report of my stolen bike.
