Description of the theft
On Jan. 12th, approximately 1:50pm, I locked my bike with a cable lock to the bike rack in front of Exer Urgent Care at 13303 Riverside Dr., Sherman Oaks 91423. I walked next door to the Rite-Aid to pick up a prescription. After spending approximately 25 minutes in the Rite-Aid, I returned to find the bike was gone. I went into the Exer Urgent Care to ask if they saw anyone take the bike and they hadn't. They called security, and about 5 minutes later security officer Gary O'Neal arrived. He had not seen anyone either, and advised that the only security camera was on the east side of the building, while the bike rack I used was on the south side. He told me if the camera had picked someone up riding away on the bike and he recognized them, he would be able to assist in getting the bike back.
I left to look around to see if I could find my bike, and didn't so I walked home. I drove around the neighborhood but did not find it. I later called Exer Urgent Care to leave my phone number, and asked if I could return the next day when the manager is there to view the security tape from the east side-camera.
On Jan. 13th at approximately 2pm, I returned to Exer Urgent Care and asked if I could view the security tape. They advised that they couldn't show it to me for privacy reasons, that a policer officer assigned to the case would have to request it.
