Description of the theft
On March 23rd, 2022, I locked my bike up outside of Marshall's on Western
Avenue, and went inside the store at around 6:10 pm. I came out about 20
minutes later (roughly 6:30), and saw that my bike was still safely locked up. At
this point, I rounded the corner and walked a few hundred feet to Which Wich,
where I ate a sandwich and emerged about 6:55 pm and returned to get my bike.
At 7 pm, I saw that my bike was gone from the lamppost where I had locked it up.
I asked the security guard outside of Marshall's if he had seen anything. He said
he had just taken over the shift fifteen minutes prior, and vaguely recalled seeing
someone walking a bike off. He could not be sure. At this point I began texting my
friends my sob story.
