Bicycle detail

On February 24th, 2023, I discovered that my dark green TREK 3500 mountain bicycle was stolen from my front door at my apartment complex. The front door of my apartment has standing wall dividers to clearly demarcate my personal property line. This is where I'd store my bicycle when not in use. I had left my apartment that day around 11:45am. My girlfriend remained at the apartment. At approximately 12pm, my girlfriend had gone outside to move a few items and recalled that my bicycle was there on the porch. At 4pm, my girlfriend went outside again and noticed that the mountain bike was no longer in its usual place. We called the apartment property manager and he advised us to file a police report. We requested that the property manager show us the security footage of the courtyard inside the apartment so that we may narrow down the suspected thief. The property manager, Adolfo Sanchez 818-481-1048 ([email protected]), denied us this and said that the police report must be filed first in order to show law enforcement the surveillance footage.
