Description of the theft
My bike was in my backyard behind a locked, 8' tall wooden fence. The day before (Friday, 9/27) I caught a man in the yard and screamed at him until he climbed back over the fence and ran away. Earlier on the day of the bike theft (Saturday, 9/28) I saw that someone had gone through my car in my driveway and taken a couple of small, not valuable items and strewn papers, etc everywhere. I believe this to be the same man and I believe he came back a third time while I was at work later that evening, climbed my fence again, and either had a partner to hoist it over to or just threw it over himself. I am afraid he's going to return and continue taking things from my yard, possibly even start breaking into my home. He seems unwell and looks like he is likely on drugs.
Physical description: African American male, slightly bushy but not super long hair. Probably in his late 30s. Was wearing a dark blue t-shirt with white writing, dark grey/blackish pants, and had a pair of brown sunglasses on top of his head. I have seen him panhandling on the neutral ground at the intersections of Claiborne and Elysian Fields.
My bike has mint green grip tape, a rack over the back tire, a white cup holder on the handlebars, a water bottle cage on the slanted crossbar, a blue parking permit sticker on the crossbar, and a u-lock holder (and my orange and black u-lock in it) on the post. Both tires are Schwalbe Marathons. A rear light that looks like truck nuts was attached to the saddle, a regular headlight was attached to the handlebars.
