Bicycle detail

Bicycle was locked to a tree in front of my home. It is typically a safe neighborhood. It had snowed a few days prior. The snow hindered me from riding my bike to work like I usually do. Footprints in the snow is all the thief left for me to go on. I got home from work that day and noticed my bicycle lock was attempted to be cut in several places but was eventually broken where the cast-aluminum comes together into the 4-digit combination locking mechanism. I called the police right away and an officer came to my home to get the details and type up a report.
