Bicycle detail

On Thurs, 29 May 2025 at approximately 9:00 AM I parked my gray 2024 Subaru, Ascent on the south side of NE 41st St between 11th Ave NE and 12th Ave NE (Seattle pay-by-phone zone 87209). My 2021 Specialized Status 160 mountain bike (grey color), blue pedals, child seat on top tube of frame) was mounted on the rear-hitch rack and not locked. I entered my office (University of Washington: CoMotion - 1100 NE Campus Pkwy #200, Seattle, WA 98105) and remained inside for the workday. When I returned to my vehicle at approximately 3:55 PM the bicycle was gone; the rack straps were unclipped and undamaged. A search of the surrounding block and trash bins yielded no trace of the bike or accessories. No permission was given for anyone to remove it. There were numerous pedestrians and vehicles in the area throughout the day, but no witnesses were immediately available. Estimated market value: $3,262, which is what I paid for it. No known suspects at this time.
