Description of the theft
My bike was stolen from bike rack between 8th and Park on Washington on Sunday, 9/21 in the afternoon. I found the bike thief on the Portland waterfront near Couch Street disassembling my bike, but he hauled ass with the bike before I could catch him.
He's a young (early 20's) homeless guy, about 5'7" or so, with dirty blonde hair, a short shaggy beard, and sores on his face, who seems to frequent the waterfront and Old Town/Chinatown area. He ripped my bike off and started stripping it pretty quickly, so he's probably done this more than once before.
