Description of the theft
On Feb 10 I noticed my car had been broken into in front of my house at 3923 Wyandot St. Everything was out of the center console, glove compartment, and strewn around the car. It seemed like there might be things missing, but I couldn't pinpoint exactly what. It wasn't until later when I went into my garage I realized someone had taken my garage door opener out of the
car, walked around to the garage in the alley and opened it, and then stolen a high-end mountain bag and small Marmot bag w/ bike gear sitting below the bike. I first noticed something was out of place when I walked into the garage and saw my 2 sets of hedge trimmers and branch cutters in front of the door. That was when I realized the thief had used these to cut the
cable lock around all of my bikes (~9 bikes) and luckily only taken one of the bikes, albeit the most expensive of course. I later asked my neighbor if he had any strange videos from that night in the alley and he was able to find video of the perpetrator walking past my neighbors garage in the alley, towards my garage, then a subsequent video of him leaving with the bike. He had a backpack on coming and going and it's hard to tell if he was also carrying the black Marmot bag or if he
stuffed it inside the bag he already had on him.
