Description of the theft
When I left my house around 4:30pm my bike was securely locked to a post on my back deck with a high quality U-lock and chain. Around 7pm a roommate of mine sent a photo of a broken bike chain to the group chat indicating that someone's bike had been stolen. When I got home around 9:30pm my bike, chain and lock were all gone. One of my roommates bikes was also gone, but the chain that it had been locked up with was still there and had been broken.
