Description of the theft
The bicycle was locked onto a stairwell that leads up to a third floor apartment at the rear of the building - it is not visible from the street. The lock was cut and the bike taken between the hours of 4 AM and 7 AM (according to eyewitnesses) and there was a stolen package left at the scene, along with a decrepit bike that was put in the place of the stolen bike.
