It was cold that night and I got off work late. Didn't feel like riding so I took the ac Transit 72 bus. From dwight and sacramento in Berkeley. I put my bike on the front loading bike rack and a bunch of teens began pushing n crowding into the door of the bus at one of the stops at market st and 40th. The driver told them to settle down and that's when I heard someone yell hey your bike ! I ran out the back door of the bus on foot after the kid who was riding off far down the street already on my bike. :-( never to be seen again. The apologetic driver waited and called police. I filed a report. I dont remember the police report number :-( It has never been found as of yet. I hadn't thought of utilizing the serial number back then. Would be some miracle if it turned up after all this time. I know it's out there somewhere.
my beautiful bike was blue and silver. had a flaming lotus girls sticker on the frame by the water bottle holder. And somewhere on the frame is a sticker for Alameda Cyclery. Please give her back to me if you find her or have her. My mother and late stepfather bought this bike for me for my birthday so that i could get around easier to work and such. It meant alot to me and i am the rightful owner.
