Bicycle detail

We had our bikes on our 2nd floor balcony. The thieves used an extremely long ladder that dug into the side of the porch to grab the bikes, then throw them off of the side into the bushes below. We recovered the second bike they had attempted to take, but the first was already gone. We had two of these bikes on the balcony for about 2 years without incident, and never locked them because, quite honestly, didn't think someone would go through that much of a ridiculous amount of effort to take them.
