Description of the theft
I securely locked my Cannondale road bicycle to a public bike locking frame in front of the 3701 Broadway (about 100 feet north of the corner of W. MacArthur Blvd) in front of the Kaiser Permanente building entrance. I went inside around 3:15pm
for a doctor's appointment, and came outside just after 4pm, and the bicycle was gone, leaving only my bike helmet and a kryptonite u-lock cut clean in half. I had not written down the serial number because I had just purchased the bike only 24 hours earlier at Waterside Workshops of Street Level Cycles in Berkeley. I called the store where I purchased it and they didn't have a record of the serial number
either, but I do have a copy of the receipt and invoice to prove I purchased the bike, which was modified by the vendor since it was purchased used.
